| 1963 |
I was born into a Roman Catholic family in Doncaster under the sign of Scorpio. My Father was an Irish Joiner of farming stock from County Kerry, my Mother of mining stock in Yorkshire. |
| 1994 |
I started painting, using range of colours in oil and gouache. My inspirations included music (Tom Waites, Shane McGowan, Leonard Cohen, and John Peel, to name but a few), people, and culture. |
| 1995 |
I took an 18+ Foundation course in Art and Design at Doncaster College, Church View. |
| 1998 |
Around this time, I became prolific in both painting and drawing, taking my inspiration from life. The use of colours and their interaction has always been the basis of my work. Although all my works are originals, they have been likened to 'Mondrian meets Picasso meets Kandinsky'. |
